ययौ नरेन्द्रे: सह सोदरैश्न समाप्तकर्मा शिबिरं निशायाम्‌ | धनंजय भी शत्रुओंको जीतकर एवं लोकमें सुयश और सुकीर्ति पाकर भाइयों तथा राजाओंके साथ सारा कार्य समाप्त करके निशाके आरम्भमें अपने शिविरको लौट गये

Transliteration

yayau narendreḥ saha sodaraiś ca samāptakarmā śibiraṃ niśāyām | dhanañjayo hi śatrūn jitvā evaṃ loke suyaśaḥ sukīrtiṃ ca prāpya bhrātṛbhiḥ saha rājabhiś ca sarvaṃ kāryaṃ samāpya niśāyā ārambhe svaśibiraṃ pratyāgāt ||

Translation

三阇耶说道：当日间的战事既毕，檀那ंज耶（阿周那）克敌制胜，由此在世间赢得美名与长久声誉；于是于夜幕初起之时，他与诸兄弟及诸王同返本营。此偈彰显战士之本分须行至终局，并点出以纪律之行于战场所换来的名誉，亦负有沉重的道义分量。
