वारयामास पार्थस्य भीष्म: शान्तनवस्तदा । माननीय महाराज! उस समय शान्तनुनन्दन भीष्मने अर्जुनके इस बाणसमूहका अपने बाणसमूहसे निवारण कर दिया

Transliteration

vārayāmāsa pārthasya bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavas tadā |

Translation

三阇耶说道：可敬的大王啊，当时善檀奴之子毗湿摩以己之箭雨迎击，遏止了阿周那袭来的箭群——这表明在战火炽烈之际，唯有以技对技；而勇武也须以严整的克制来调和，而非任由鲁莽的狂怒驱使。
