अध्याय ५५ — भीष्मस्य प्रचण्डविक्रमः, अर्जुनप्रत्युत्तरं, कृष्णस्य चक्रोद्यतिः
Chapter 55: Bhīṣma’s onslaught, Arjuna’s counter, and Kṛṣṇa’s raised discus
(संजय उवाच दुर्योधनवच: श्रुत्वा सर्व एव महारथा: । तथेत्येनं नृपा ऊचुस्तदा द्रोणपुरोगमा: ।।
sañjaya uvāca
duryodhanavacaḥ śrutvā sarva eva mahārathāḥ |
tathety enaṃ nṛpā ūcustadā droṇapurogamāḥ ||
tato bhīṣmaś ca droṇaś ca tava putrāś ca māriṣa |
avyūhanta mahāvyūhaṃ pāṇḍūnāṃ pratibādhanam ||
三阇耶说道：“大王啊，众人听罢都利约陀那之言，所有大车战士与诸王——以德罗那（Droṇa）为首——齐声答道：‘如是。’遂接受其议。随后，毗湿摩（Bhīṣma）与德罗那，连同您的诸子，尊者啊，共同布置了一座宏大的战阵，用以阻遏并牵制般度族（Pāṇḍava）之军。”
