भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः

सूर्योदयं त इच्छन्त: स्थिता युद्धाय दंशिता: । भारत! इस प्रकार पाण्डव क्रौंचार॒ुण नामक महाव्यूहकी रचना करके सूर्योदयकी प्रतीक्षा करते हुए युद्धके लिये कवच आदिसे सुसज्जित हो खड़े हो गये || ५७ ह ।।

sañjaya uvāca |

sūryodayaṃ tu icchantaḥ sthitā yuddhāya daṃśitāḥ |

bhārata! evaṃ pāṇḍavāḥ krauñcāruṇa-nāmakaṃ mahāvyūhaṃ racayitvā sūryodayasya pratīkṣāṃ kurvantaḥ yuddhāya kavacādibhiḥ susajjitāḥ samatiṣṭhan ||

tēṣām āditya-varṇāni vimalāni mahānti ca |

śveta-cchatrāṇy aśobhanta vāraṇeṣu ratheṣu ca ||

桑阇耶说道:“噢,婆罗多啊,盼望日出之时,般度五子披甲执兵,列阵待战。布成名为‘鸻赤阵(Krauñcāruṇa)’的宏大战阵后,他们守候黎明,蓄势将战。其象背与战车之上,巨大的白伞洁净无瑕,光辉灿然,如日照耀。”
