जगाम धरणीं बाणो महाशनिरिव ज्वलन् । उस समय देवताओं
sañjaya uvāca | jagāma dharaṇīṃ bāṇo mahāśanir iva jvalan |
三阇耶说道：那支箭如巨雷霆般炽燃，直没入大地。就在那一刻，诸天、乾闼婆、毗舍遮、那伽与罗刹也都亲眼见到——它如大金刚杵（vajra）般腾焰，洞穿了力大无穷的白者（Śveta）的甲胄与心脏，继而沉入土中。此景昭示战争可怖的无偏无私：武勇与护具顷刻可碎，连天界的见证者也为命运之力与人间暴烈所震慑。
