dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | evaṁ śvete mahēṣvāse prāpte śalyarathaṁ prati | kuravaḥ pāṇḍaveyāś ca kim akurvata sañjaya ||
持国王说道：“当那位强弓善射的勇士湿婆多（Śveta）逼近沙利耶（Śalya）的战车时，俱卢众与般度诸子当时作何举动？啊，三阇耶（Sañjaya）！”
