वेदेषु यज्ञेषु तप:सु चैव दानेषु यत् पुण्यफलं प्रदिष्टम् अत्येति तत्सरवमिदं विदित्वा योगी परं स्थानमुपैति चाद्यम्
vedeṣu yajñeṣu tapaḥsu caiva dāneṣu yat puṇyaphalaṁ pradiṣṭam | atyeti tat sarvam idaṁ viditvā yogī paraṁ sthānam upaiti cādyam ||
阿周那说:瑜伽行者若真实了悟此秘密,便超越经中所宣说由研习吠陀、行祭祀、修苦行与施舍所生的一切功德;并得至本初、至高、永恒之境。
अजुन उवाच
True knowledge of the inner secret (yoga-realization) transcends the merit gained from external religious acts—Vedic study, sacrifice, austerity, and charity—and leads to the highest, primordial, eternal goal.
In the Bhīṣma Parva dialogue setting, Arjuna speaks a concluding affirmation: the yogin who understands the teaching just revealed goes beyond conventional merit-making practices and reaches the supreme state, emphasizing realization over ritual achievement.
