स तया श्रद्धया युक्तस्तस्याराधनमीहते । लभते च तत: कामान् मयैव विहितान् हि तान्
sa tayā śraddhayā yuktaḥ tasyārādhanam īhate | labhate ca tataḥ kāmān mayāiva vihitān hi tān |
具足那份信心的人,便勤修礼敬彼神;并且确实从那神处获得所欲之享受——然而那些享受,实则唯由我所裁定。
अजुन उवाच
Even when one worships a particular deity with sincere faith, the attainment of desired results is ultimately governed by the supreme divine ordinance; the deity becomes the channel, but the sanction of the fruit belongs to the highest principle (here, Krishna).
