Dhyāna-Yoga
Discipline of Meditation and Mental Restraint
kintu he dhanañjaya! yena karmayogasya vidhinā samastāni karmāṇi paramātmani arpitāni, yena ca vivekena samasta-saṁśayānāṁ nāśaḥ kṛtaḥ; evaṁ vaśīkṛtāntaḥkaraṇaṁ puruṣaṁ karmāṇi na badhnanti.

Actions bind when driven by attachment, ego, and unresolved doubt; they do not bind the one who performs all duties as an offering to the Supreme Self and whose discernment has removed uncertainty. Mastery of the inner mind-intellect makes action ethically steady and spiritually freeing.
In the Bhīṣma Parva’s battlefield instruction setting, Arjuna is addressed as Dhanañjaya and is taught how to act amid war without becoming morally and spiritually entangled: by dedicating deeds to the Supreme and acting with clear discernment rather than wavering doubt.
