Chapter 19: Prativyūha of the Pāṇḍavas — Vajra (Acala) Formation and Dawn Omens
संध्यां तिष्ठत्सु सैन्येषु सूर्यस्पोदयन प्रति । प्रावात् सपृषतो वायुर्निरभ्रे स््तनयित्नुमान्,सूर्योदयके समय जब सभी सैनिक संध्योपासना कर रहे थे, बिना बादलके ही पानीकी बूँदोंके साथ हवा चलने लगी। उसके साथ मेघकी-सी गर्जना भी होती थी
saṃdhyāṃ tiṣṭhatsu sainyeṣu sūryasyodayanaṃ prati | prāvāt sapṛṣato vāyur nirabhre stanayitnumān ||
三阇耶说道:当诸军列立行暮昏祭礼,面向旭日将升之处时,一阵风起,携来细微水滴;天空明净无云,却轰然作响如雷——战前之夕,凶兆笼罩众武士。
संजय उवाच
Even amid impending violence, the warriors observe Sandhyā worship, showing the continued presence of ritual duty; yet nature’s abnormal signs suggest that moral disorder and massive destruction are near, reminding readers that adharma in conflict invites ominous consequences.
At sunrise time, while the assembled armies are performing their Sandhyā rites facing the rising sun, an unusual wind blows with water droplets and thunder-like rumbling despite a cloudless sky—presented as a portent on the battlefield.
