महेन्द्रकेतव: शुभ्रा महेन्द्रसदनेष्विव । संनद्धास्ते प्रवीराश्च ददृशुर्युद्धकाड्क्षिण:
sañjaya uvāca | mahendraketavaḥ śubhrā mahendrasadaneṣv iva | sannaddhās te pravīrāś ca dadṛśur yuddhakāṅkṣiṇaḥ ||
三阇耶说道：正如因陀罗天宫之中，帝释天那明耀的旗幡熠熠生辉；同样，俱卢族与般度族两军的旌旗也光彩夺目。那些最卓越的勇士，披甲执兵，整装待发——大战将启之际，人人心怀战意，渴望交锋。
