प्रशमे हि कृतो यत्न: सुमहान्‌ सुचिरं मया । न चैव शकित: कर्तु कर्ण सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते

Transliteration

praśame hi kṛto yatnaḥ sumahān suciraṃ mayā | na caiva śakitaḥ kartuṃ karṇa satyaṃ bravīmi te ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“为求和平，我曾长久竭尽极大努力；然而终未能成。迦尔纳，我对你说的皆是真实。”
