dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | katham āsan tadā yodhā hīnā bhīṣmeṇa sañjaya | balinā devakalpena gurvarthaṃ brahmacāriṇā ||

持国王问道:“三阇耶,当时诸将士在失去毗湿摩之后情形如何?他力大如神,为父之故终身守持梵行(brahmacarya);自他从战车上坠落之后,我方武士成了何等模样?”
