Shloka 196

अमर्षवशमापन्नो योधयामास सृञ्जयान्‌ । राजन्‌! तब आपके पितृतुल्य शान्तनुनन्दन भीष्म बाणोंकी मार खाकर अमर्षमें भर गये और सृंजयोंके साथ युद्ध करने लगे

amarṣavaśam āpanno yodhayāmāsa sṛñjayān | rājan, tava pitṛtulyaḥ śāntanunandano bhīṣmo bāṇānāṁ mārāṁ khātvā amarṣeṇa samapūryata, sṛñjayaiś ca saha yuddhaṁ cakāra |

三阇耶说道:他为忿怒所制,便与斯林阇耶诸军交战。大王啊!你那如父般的长者——善檀奴之子毗湿摩——遭受箭矢齐射之后,胸中怒焰大炽,遂与斯林阇耶正面厮杀。此段揭示:即便是可敬的持守法(dharma)之人,也会在战场挑衅下被驱入激烈搏战,显出克制与武士职责之间的道德张力。
