The verse highlights the intensity of kṣatriya warfare: collective courage and aggressive momentum surge against a powerful opponent. Ethically, it underscores how battlefield zeal (rabhasa) can appear ‘wondrous’ yet also reflects the consuming force of conflict where many rush headlong into danger.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Kaurava warriors, shouting and creating a great uproar, charge toward Arjuna in the midst of battle; the spectacle is described as astonishing.
