भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed
स्कन्दशक््त्या यथा क्रौज्च: पुरा नृपतिसत्तम । नृपश्रेष्ठ छातीमें लगे हुए उस बाणसे प्रतापी भीमसेन वैसे ही सुशोभित हुए, जैसे पूर्वकालमें कार्तिकेयकी शक्तिसे आविद्ध होनेपर क्रौंच पर्वतकी शोभा हुई थी

三阇耶说道：大王啊，毗摩塞那虽被那支箭贯入胸膛，却愈发显得光彩夺目——正如上古之时，鸠槃遮山（Krauncha）被斯堪陀（迦尔提迦耶）之神枪“沙克提”（śakti）刺穿后反而辉映生辉。此喻彰显战士的坚忍：纵然负伤，也不弃战场之责，以不动摇的决心承受创痛。
