पातयामास भीष्मस्य धनुश्कछित्त्वा शितै: शरै: । तब कुन्तीकुमारने मेघके समान गम्भीर घोष करनेवाले अपने दिव्य धनुषको हाथमें लेकर तीखे बाणोंद्वारा भीष्मके धनुषको काट गिराया
pātayāmāsa bhīṣmasya dhanuḥ kṛcchitvā śitaiḥ śaraiḥ | tadā kuntīkumāro meghake samāna-gambhīra-ghoṣaṃ karṇevāle svam divya-dhanuḥ hastam ānīya tīkṣṇa-bāṇair bhīṣmasya dhanuḥ chittvā pātayāmāsa |
三阇耶说道：于是昆蒂之子执起神弓，其声沉雄如雷云轰鸣；他以锐利之箭斩断毗湿摩之弓，使之坠落。于战场的道德纹理之中，此举显出严整的武艺与节制——旨在废其兵器，而非恣意屠戮——在达摩的要求下，以专注、克己与目的来行战争之事。
