Public authority often culminates in private decisions: the king dismisses the crowd and moves inward to act. The verse subtly points to the ethical burden of leadership in war—choices made swiftly and privately can determine large-scale harm.
Sañjaya reports that Duryodhana arrives, sends away the large gathering, and quickly enters his camp/quarters—suggesting a transition from public assembly to internal planning or counsel in the unfolding war episode.
