वर्षिष्यतीह वा देवो न वा वर्ष भविष्यति । “इन्द्रदेव यहाँ वर्षा करें अथवा यहाँ वर्षा न हो, इसकी मुझे परवा नहीं है, मेरे इस यज्ञको किसी तरह व्यर्थ नहीं किया जा सकता
varṣiṣyatīha vā devo na vā varṣa bhaviṣyati |
毗舍波耶那说:“无论天神因陀罗在此降雨,还是雨全然不至,我都不在意。我的这场祭祀,绝不可能以任何方式被使之徒然无功。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Steadfast resolve in dharmic action: one should not abandon a righteous undertaking merely because external conditions (even divine factors like rain) are uncertain; the agent’s commitment and integrity must remain firm.
The speaker asserts that the success of the sacrifice will not be negated by the presence or absence of rain, implicitly challenging dependence on Indra’s favor and emphasizing unwavering determination to complete the rite.
