पितोवाच अपि वर्षसहस्त्री त्वं बाल एव मतो मम । उत्पाद्य पुत्र हि पिता कृतकृत्यो भवेत् सुतात्
pitovāca api varṣa-sahasrī tvaṃ bāla eva mato mama | utpādya putra hi pitā kṛta-kṛtyo bhavet sutāt ||
父亲说道：“纵使你活上一千年，在我眼中你仍只是个孩子。父亲只要生出一个儿子，便自以为功德圆满、责任已尽。”
