सा मुहूर्त च राजेन्द्र पुत्रशोकाभिपीडिता । कश्मलाभिहता वीर वैराटी त्वभवत् तदा,वीर राजेन्द्र! पुत्रशोकसे पीड़ित वह विराटकुमारी उत्तरा उस समय दो घड़ीतक मूर्च्छामें पड़ी रही
sā muhūrtaṃ ca rājendra putraśokābhipīḍitā | kaśmalābhihatā vīra vairāṭī tv abhavat tadā ||
毗湿摩耶那说:勇武的大王啊,因丧子之痛所压迫,又被昏厥所击倒,毗罗吒之女优多罗便昏迷卧地,持续了片刻。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the natural force of bereavement: grief can overwhelm even the strong and noble, reminding readers to respond with compassion and to recognize sorrow as a powerful human condition that can temporarily disrupt steadiness and duty.
Vaiśampāyana reports to the king that Uttarā, the princess of Virāṭa, was crushed by grief for her son and, overcome by distress, remained unconscious for a short while.
