Adhyāya 62: Marutta’s Treasure and the Pāṇḍavas’ Auspicious Departure (मरुत्तस्य धनप्राप्त्युपक्रमः)
na upāgacchanti vai śāntim abhimanyu-vinākṛtāḥ |
Even after victory, unresolved grief and the absence of beloved and righteous companions can prevent true peace; inner tranquility requires emotional and moral reconciliation, not merely the end of conflict.
The narrator describes the continuing sorrow after the war: those who are without Abhimanyu remain deeply afflicted and cannot find peace; the Pāṇḍavas in Hastināpura likewise suffer restlessly because of his loss.
