उत्तड़क उवाच राजन गुर्वर्थिनं विद्धि चरन्तं मामिहागतम्‌ । न च गुर्वर्थमुद्युक्त हिंस्पमाहुर्मनीषिण:

Transliteration

Uttaṅka uvāca: rājan gurv-arthinaṃ viddhi carantaṃ mām ihāgatam | na ca gurv-artham udyuktaṃ hiṃsam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ ||

Translation

优陀迦说：“大王，当知我乃为成就师命而行者；我为此事漂游至此。智者有言：凡殷勤求取当献于师的供养（guru-dakṣiṇā）者，不应加害。”
