देवतातिथिशिष्टाशी निरतो वेदकर्मसु । इज्याप्रदानयुक्तश्चन यथाशक्ति यथासुखम्‌

Transliteration

devatātithiśiṣṭāśī nirato vedakarmasu | ijyāpradānayuktaś ca yathāśakti yathāsukham ||

Translation

风神伐由说道：“居家之人当先以供献饲奉诸天，又先款待宾客，然后方可食用所余之食。应恒常奉行吠陀所命之业；并依其能力、以知足之心行礼拜祭祀，亦当施与布施。”
