Adhyāya 42 — Mahābhūta–Indriya–Adhyātma-Vyavasthā
Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties
यथावदध्यात्मविधिरेष व: कीर्तितो मया
yathāvad adhyātmavidhir eṣa vaḥ kīrtito mayā
“我已依其应有次第,向汝等宣说此内我之修持(adhyātma),正如当教之法。”
वायुदेव उवाच
That spiritual practice must be conveyed and followed “yathāvat”—in the correct, prescribed manner—emphasizing disciplined, methodical instruction in adhyātma (inner self-knowledge) rather than casual or improvised practice.
Vāyudeva concludes or rounds off a section of teaching by stating that he has properly expounded the adhyātma-vidhi to his listeners, marking a transition from instruction to its reception or subsequent action.
