अतिवादो>तितिक्षा च मात्सर्यमभिमानिता | अश्रद्दधानता चैव तामसं वृत्तमिष्यते,अतिवाद, अक्षमा, मत्सरता, अभिमान और अश्रद्धाको भी तमोगुणका बर्ताव माना गया है
ativādo 'titikṣā ca mātsaryam abhimānitā | aśraddadhānatā caiva tāmasaṁ vṛttam iṣyate ||
风神伐由说道：过度的争辩之言、不堪忍受（缺乏忍耐）、嫉妒、自负与不信，皆被视为出自“昏暗惰性”的塔摩斯（tamas）之行。就伦理而言，这些习气蒙蔽辨别之智，使人远离自律与合乎达摩（dharma）的正行。
