Transliteration

vaya-deva uvāca | vaścid brāhmaṇam āsīnam ācāryaṁ saṁśita-vratam | śiṣyaḥ papraccha medhāvī kiṁsvid śreyaḥ paraṁtapa ||

Translation

风神说道：“曾有一次，一位婆罗门导师，严持誓戒，端坐于其座。其时，一名睿智弟子前来请问：‘噬敌者啊，究竟何为至善（śreyas）？’”
