वश्चिद्‌ ब्राह्मणमासीनमाचार्य संशितव्रतम्‌ । शिष्य: पप्रच्छ मेधावी किंस्विच्छेय: परंतप

vaya-deva uvāca | vaścid brāhmaṇam āsīnam ācāryaṁ saṁśita-vratam | śiṣyaḥ papraccha medhāvī kiṁsvid śreyaḥ paraṁtapa ||

风神说道:“曾有一次,一位婆罗门导师,严持誓戒,端坐于其座。其时,一名睿智弟子前来请问:‘噬敌者啊,究竟何为至善(śreyas)?’”
