Karma’s Non-Extinction, Jīva’s Entry into the Embryo, and Instruction on Conduct-Dharma
lohapiṇḍaṃ yathā vahniḥ praviśya hatitāpayet | tathā tvam api jānīhi garbhe jīvopapādanam ||
The verse teaches that consciousness in the embryo is due to the entry/presence of the jīva: as fire makes iron glow and hot by pervading it, so the living self animates the developing body in the womb.
A Brahmin speaker explains a subtle point about generation and sentience, using a vivid physical analogy (fire and iron) to clarify how life and awareness become manifest in the womb.
