Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)
वायुदेव उवाच श्रावितस्त्वं मया गुह्ूं ज्ञापितश्न॒ सनातनम् | धर्म स्वरूपिणं पार्थ सर्वलोकांश्व शाश्वतान्
vāyudeva uvāca | śrāvitastvaṁ mayā guhyaṁ jñāpitaś ca sanātanam | dharma-svarūpiṇaṁ pārtha sarva-lokāṁś ca śāśvatān |
风神说道：“噢，帕尔塔啊，我曾使你聆听那至秘的教诲，又令你明了永恒之真——‘常住’（Sanātana），即以法（Dharma）为自体的至上实相。我也曾向你讲述不朽恒常的诸世界。然而你因缺乏辨慧而未能守持那教诲；此事令我极为不悦。如今看来，那些要义已不可能再被完整忆起。”
