Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)
tataḥ pratītaḥ kṛṣṇena sahitaḥ pāṇḍavo 'rjunaḥ | nirīkṣya tāṃ sabhāṃ ramyām idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
The verse highlights the ethical value of steadiness and right counsel: Arjuna’s composure arises in the company of Kṛṣṇa, suggesting that clarity in action and speech is supported by wise guidance, friendship, and alignment with dharma.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Arjuna, pleased and accompanied by Kṛṣṇa, looks at the splendid assembly-hall and then begins to address Kṛṣṇa—setting up the next speech or request within the Ashvamedha-related events.
