Consolation of Yudhiṣṭhira; Rites and Gifts; Return to Hastināpura

प्रशान्तचेता: कौरव्य: स्वराज्यं प्राप्प केवलम्‌ । व्यासं च नारदं चैव तांश्वान्यानब्रवीन्नूप:

praśāntacetāḥ kauravyaḥ svarājyaṃ prāpya kevalam | vyāsaṃ ca nāradaṃ caiva tāṃś cānyān abravīn nṛpaḥ ||

当他的心神已然平定,俱卢之王(尤提士提罗)便独自承受自身的王权——内里不复纷扰——继而对毗耶娑、那罗陀以及其他卓越的仙圣开口说道。叙事在此昭示一处道德转折:经历战争的暴烈与哀恸之后,唯有在良知安宁、并受灵性权威指引之下,正当的统治才应重新承担。
