व्याधि-गुण-साम्योपदेशः | Discourse on Affliction, Guṇa-Equilibrium, and the Inner Battle

शत्रुदमन! द्रोणाचार्य और भीष्मके साथ जो युद्ध हुआ था, वही युद्ध आपके सामने उपस्थित है। इस समय आपको अकेले अपने मनके साथ युद्ध करना होगा ।।

śatrudamana! droṇācārya-bhīṣmābhyāṁ saha yo yuddhaḥ abhavat sa eva yuddhaḥ tava purataḥ samupasthitaḥ। idānīṁ tvayā ekenaiva svena manasā saha yoddhavyam॥ tasmād abhyupagantavyaṁ yuddhāya bharatarṣabha। paramavyaktarūpasya pāraṁ yuktyā svakarmabhiḥ॥ bharatabhūṣaṇa! ataḥ tasmai yuddhāya tvayā sajjībhavitavyam। svakarma-pālanena yogena ca manaḥ vaśīkṛtya māyātītaṁ parabrahma prāpnuhi॥

风神伐由说道:“噢,降伏仇敌者!你昔日与德罗那、毗湿摩并肩鏖战的那场大战,如今又在你面前重现。然而此刻,你必须独自作战——与自己的心相战。故而,噢,婆罗多族中的雄牛,迈步迎向此战吧。以正智之辨与对自身本分(法,dharma)的忠实履行,越渡至上不显(无相、未显)之境的彼岸。噢,婆罗多族的荣饰,为那场战争整备自身:守持本分,以瑜伽制御其心,证得超越幻力(māyā)的至上梵(Brahman)。”
