Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira

vayamāsma yathā samyag bhavato viditaṃ tathā |

Educational Q&A

The passage highlights an ethical claim about just rule and interpersonal trust: the speakers testify that they experienced no injustice and therefore extended filial-like confidence to the king. It underscores how perceived fairness sustains social harmony and loyalty within a kingdom.

Vaiśampāyana reports a statement addressed to a king: the speakers remind him that his son never wronged them, that they trusted Duryodhana as a father, and that they lived comfortably under his rule—facts the addressee is said to already know.
