वैशम्पायन उवाच
When a righteous course has been duly authorized, one should not obstruct it; dharma includes supporting (or at least not hindering) another’s legitimate, auspicious resolve—especially in matters of renunciation and tapas.
Vaiśampāyana reports that a king has received permission from the relevant authorities (the speaker and the addressed party) to proceed with his intended undertaking, and the addressed party is instructed not to create obstacles to the king’s auspicious purpose.
