Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca— api dṛṣṭas tvayā tatra kuśalī sa kurūdvahaḥ | gāndhārī ca pṛthā caiva sūtaputraś ca sañjayaḥ ||

Educational Q&A

Even after devastating conflict, dharma includes continued concern for the welfare of elders and former adversaries; compassion and responsibility do not end with victory.

Yudhiṣṭhira inquires of a visitor (implicitly someone who has been to the forest āśrama) whether Dhṛtarāṣṭra is safe and well, and asks similarly about Gāndhārī, Kuntī, and Sañjaya living with him.
