अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

ये ते पितृश्च दारांश्व प्राणांक्ष मनसः प्रियान्‌,इति श्रीमहाभारते आश्रमवासिके पर्वणि पुत्रदर्शनपर्वणि धृतराष्ट्रादिकृतप्रार्थने एकोनत्रिंशो5ध्याय:

ye te pitṝś ca dārāṁś ca prāṇāṁś ca manasaḥ priyān

毗舍波耶那说道:“你们的那些父亲,你们的那些妻子,乃至你们的性命——诚然,一切为你们心所挚爱者……”(他由此开始列举最为珍爱的亲缘与生命所系之要,奠定随后祈愿之辞与渴望再见、得以一睹的情感与伦理根基;其背景乃出离之行与战后余波。)
