三阇耶说道:“这位女子,肢体幽暗如青莲,近立于地——她那莲华般的双眸,世人皆知是摩德丽长子那俱罗之妻。”

The verse underscores the epic’s concern for rightful identification and social order: individuals are situated through relationships (wife, son of Mādrī, elder among brothers). In the Ashramavāsika context, such naming also highlights the human cost of the war—families and spouses remain, bearing grief and duty even as elders move toward renunciation.
Sañjaya is pointing out and identifying a woman present nearby, describing her appearance (dark like a blue lotus, lotus-eyed) and stating that she is the wife of Nakula, Mādrī’s elder son.
