Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
दिवि ज्योतिर्यथा5<दित्य: पितृणां चैव चन्द्रमा: । देवेशश्व॒ तथा नृणां गज्ञा च सरिता तथा
divi jyotir yathādityaḥ pitṝṇāṃ caiva candramāḥ | deveśaś ca tathā nṝṇāṃ rājā ca saritāṃ tathā gaṅgā ||
成就者说道：“如同天界之中，太阳的光辉最为卓绝；如同祖灵（Pitṛ）之中，月亮居于首位；又如同人间之中，至高的君王为众所尊——同样，在一切河流之中，恒河最为上乘。”此偈教人以法（dharma）而知优劣：在各自领域辨识最能提升、最堪为范者，并依之而敬奉。
