Desire (kāma) must be governed by nyāya/dharma; one should not act unjustly, and one should speak the truth about morally sensitive matters such as lineage.
A woman, addressed as “śucismitā,” defends her conduct: she insists she has not acted against right conduct and truthfully states that her child was begotten by a sage (ṛṣi), implying a dharmically sanctioned origin rather than illicit behavior.
