दक्षस्त्वजायताड्गुष्ठाद्‌ दक्षिणाद्‌ भगवानृषि: । ब्रह्मण: पृथिवीपाल शान्तात्मा सुमहातपा:,भूमिपाल! ब्रह्माजीके दाहिने अँगूठेसे महातपस्वी शान्तचित्त महर्षि भगवान्‌ दक्ष उत्पन्न हुए

Transliteration

dakṣas tv ajāyatāṅguṣṭhād dakṣiṇād bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | brahmaṇaḥ pṛthivīpāla śāntātmā sumahātapāḥ ||

Translation

毗湿摩波耶那说道：“大王啊，从梵天（Brahmā）的右手拇指诞生了可敬的圣仙达克沙（Dakṣa）——心神澄寂，苦行之力极其广大。”
