सर्पसत्रे ऋत्विजः सदस्याश्च — Officiants and Assembly at Janamejaya’s Serpent-Sacrifice
ततः प्रववृधे गर्भो महातेजा महाप्रभ: । यथा सोमो द्विजश्रेष्ठ शुक्लपक्षोदितों दिवि,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! जैसे शुक्लपक्षमें आकाशमें उदित होनेवाला चन्द्रमा प्रतिदिन बढ़ता है, उसी प्रकार जरत्कारुका वह महातेजस्वी और परम कान्तिमान् गर्भ बढ़ने लगा
tataḥ pravavṛdhe garbho mahātejā mahāprabhaḥ | yathā somo dvijaśreṣṭha śuklapakṣodito divi ||
其后,那胎儿——具大威光,灿然生辉——便开始稳稳增长,正如明半月里升上天穹的月轮,日复一日渐趋圆满;噫,最胜二生者啊。此譬喻昭示生命吉祥而有序的展开,以及依达摩而成就正当所求的成熟与圆成。
तक्षक उवाच

Takṣaka describes the embryo’s development, emphasizing its extraordinary radiance and promise; its growth is compared to the moon increasing day by day in the bright fortnight.
