Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
उन्होंने अपने अंगोंमें यथास्थान मजबूत और चमकीले चमड़ेके बने हुए हाथके मोजे आदि धारण किये। नाना प्रकारके भयंकर अस्त्र-शस्त्र भी ले लिये। उन सब आयुधोंकी धार बहुत तीखी थी। वे श्रेष्ठ देवता सब प्रकारके आयुध लेकर युद्धके लिये उद्यत हो गये। उनके पास ऐसे-ऐसे चक्र थे
kāśyapa uvāca — te svāṅgeṣu yathāsthānaṃ dṛḍhāni dīptāni carmaṇi hastapādāvaraṇāni (mocakāni) ca dhārayām āsuḥ | nānāvidhāni bhīṣaṇāny astrāṇi śastrāṇi ca jagṛhuḥ | teṣāṃ sarveṣām āyudhānāṃ dhārā atitīkṣṇā āsīt | te śreṣṭhā devāḥ sarvaprakārair āyudhair yuddhāya samudyatā babhūvuḥ | teṣāṃ cakrāṇi tādṛśāni āsan yaiḥ sarvataḥ agni-kiṇāḥ dhūma-sahitāḥ jvālāś ca prādurabhavan | aparaṃ parighāḥ triśūlāni paraśavaḥ nānāvidhāḥ tīkṣṇāḥ śaktayaḥ dīptāḥ khaḍgāḥ bhīṣaṇāś ca gadāḥ āsan | svadehānurūpāṇy etāny astrāṇi śastrāṇi gṛhītvā devāḥ sthirā babhūvuḥ |
迦叶波说道:“他们在肢体各处按其所宜,佩上坚实而闪亮的皮革护具——护手之类——继而取来种种可怖的兵刃;其锋皆锐利无比。那些最尊胜的诸神全副武装,立于阵前,备战待发。他们所持的轮刃之盘旋转之时,四面迸出火星,吐出夹带烟雾的火舌。除此之外,还有沉重铁棍、三叉戟、战斧、各式锋利长枪、光耀宝剑,以及令人胆寒的巨槌。执持与自身形体相称的武器,诸神稳立不移,决然迎战。”
कश्यप उवाच
The passage highlights disciplined readiness: even divine beings do not rush into conflict unprepared. Proper protection, appropriate weapons, and steadiness suggest that force—when undertaken—should be governed by order, restraint, and responsibility rather than impulse.
Kaśyapa describes the gods equipping themselves with protective leather gear and a full array of formidable weapons—discus emitting sparks and flames, clubs, tridents, axes, spears, swords, and maces—then standing firm, prepared to enter battle.
