Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the moral weight of powerful deeds: when great heroes act with raised weapons amid a blazing forest, the suffering and fear spread beyond the immediate target, affecting innocent creatures and even the waters’ inhabitants. It invites reflection on responsibility, restraint, and compassion within dharmic action.

As the forest burns and Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna stand ready with weapons, the animals within the forest cry out in terror; the uproar is so intense that even fish in the Gaṅgā and the ocean are said to tremble.
