समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

तस्य प्रज्ञाभिपन्नस्य विचित्रपदपर्वण: । सूक्ष्मार्थन्याययुक्तस्य वेदार्थभ्भूषितस्य च,यह महाभारत इतिहास ज्ञानका भण्डार है। इसमें सूक्ष्म-से-सूक्ष्म पदार्थ और उनका अनुभव करानेवाली युक्तियाँ भरी हुई हैं। इसका एक-एक पद और पर्व आश्चर्यजनक है तथा यह वेदोंके धर्ममय अर्थसे अलंकृत है। अब इसके पर्वोकी संग्रह-सूची सुनिये। पहले अध्यायमें पर्वानुक्रमणी है और दूसरेमें पर्वसंग्रह
tasya prajñābhipannasya vicitrapadaparvaṇaḥ | sūkṣmārthanyāyayuktasya vedārthabhūṣitasya ca ||
此《摩诃婆罗多》——为明慧之智所洞达——字字奇绝，篇篇（parvan）瑰异；具微妙之义，合严正之理，又以浸润于法（dharma）的吠陀旨趣为其庄严。今且听其诸篇之简要目录：第一章为《篇目次第》（Parvānukramaṇī），第二章为《篇章总摄》（Parvasaṅgraha）。
