Adhyāya 196: Droṇa’s Conciliatory Counsel and Karṇa’s Suspicion of Counsel

sa cāpi tad vyadadhāt sarvam eva tataḥ sarve sambabhūvur dharaṇyām | sa cāpi keśau harir uddhṛtabarhaḥ śuklam ekam aparaṃ cāpi kṛṣṇam ||

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores that the restoration of dharma is not accidental: a deliberate divine ordinance unfolds through embodied births on earth, indicating providence working through historical events.

Vyāsa narrates that the divine arrangements were completed and beings manifested on earth; Hari/Nārāyaṇa then produces two hairs—one white and one dark—an omen-like sign associated with forthcoming incarnate agents of the divine purpose.
