The verse highlights dharmic social order: major life-transitions like marriage are framed as public, rule-bound ceremonies. Yudhiṣṭhira’s intent to witness the svayaṃvara reflects respect for lawful custom and the ethical importance of transparent, communal rites.
Yudhiṣṭhira announces that Drupada’s daughter has set the occasion for her svayaṃvara, and that they are going to see both the princess and the grand festival—foreshadowing the pivotal event where Draupadī will be won.
