स हि वेदार्थतत्त्वज्ञस्तेषां गुरुकुदारधी: । तेन धर्मविदा पार्था याज्या धर्मविद: कृता:,उदारबुद्धि धौम्य वेदार्थके तत्त्वज्ञ थे, वे पाण्डवोंके गुरु हुए। उन धर्मज्ञ मुनिने धर्मज्ञ कुन्तीकुमारोंकोी अपना यजमान बना लिया
sa hi vedārtha-tattvajñas teṣāṁ guruḥ kṛta-dhīḥ | tena dharmavidā pārthā yājyā dharmavidaḥ kṛtāḥ ||
毗耶娑波耶那说道:因为他洞悉吠陀真义与其根本原则,胸襟高远;故此,那位通达法(dharma)的牟尼成了他们的师长。而昆蒂之子——诸帕尔塔,本亦明晓法度——被他收为祭主(yajamāna,主持并资助祭祀者)。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
True authority in dharma is grounded in Vedic understanding and ethical discernment; such a teacher rightly guides worthy students, and righteous rulers support sacred duties by becoming yajamānas for proper rites.
The narrator states that a Veda-knowing, noble-minded sage becomes the preceptor of the Pāṇḍavas, and he formally accepts them as patrons for sacrificial rites, establishing a relationship of instruction and dharmic responsibility.
