Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)
brāhmaṇa uvāca | evam uktvā tu yājena hute haviṣi saṁskṛte | uttasthau pāvakāt tasmāt kumāro devasaṁnibhaḥ ||
The verse underscores the dharmic idea that properly performed, consecrated ritual action (saṁskṛta-havis in yajña) can become a channel for auspicious, even extraordinary outcomes—here symbolized by a divine-like manifestation from the fire.
After the Brāhmaṇa’s words, Yāja makes an offering of the prepared oblation into the fire; immediately, a radiant boy, godlike in appearance, emerges from the flames.
