Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)
दृष्टवा फलस्य नापश्यद् दोषान् पापानुबन्धकान् | विविनक्ति न शौचं य: सोअन्यत्रापि कथं भवेत्
dṛṣṭvā phalasya nāpaśyad doṣān pāpānubandhakān | vivinakti na śaucaṃ yaḥ so 'nyatrāpi kathaṃ bhavet ||
见利而动，便不察那利益之后如影随形的罪过。受取之时若不辨清净与不净，此人于他事又怎能指望其行得端正？实难断言。
