The verse highlights dharmic household order and the ethical framing of creation: righteous companionship (dharma-patnī) and disciplined reception of boons lead to orderly continuation (atisarga) rather than chaos.
Śaunaka, in the dialogue setting, refers to Kaśyapa being delighted with his wives and hearing about the granting of boons and the ensuing creation/emanation, while also indicating that the listeners have heard what is ‘excellent’ from Kaśyapa.
